If you find transactions appearing as 'Recoded', this means that a transaction used to create an asset that exists on your asset register has been modified in some way in your accounting software. The original ledger entry could have been deleted, coded to a different category or had the date or amount changed.
Assets that have been added to the asset register, and the transaction has changed will appear on the asset register hi-lighted in red as shown below.
We cannot ignore changes to assets that still exist on the asset register, and need to 'Update' the asset. This may not actually make any overall difference to the asset register, but we need to acknowledge the asset may have been changed in some way and reflect the update from the transactions area.
The 'Update' feature will make all of the necessary corrections to your asset register, so there should be no need to create any manual journal adjustments for depreciation etc. Everything will be sorted for you.
